Now here’s the kind of electric shock that’s way better than the old finger-in-the-socket-hair-frizzer. French motorcycle maker Voxan has created the Wattman, a 200 horsepower-packing bike that promises to be the most powerful electric motorcycle in the world. The shock comes as soon as the throttle is opened, because that’s precisely when all 200 of those horses are ready to run.
The motor contains permanent magnets and liquid cooling, and get this: Voxan says the Wattman can hit 100 mph in under 6 seconds. Charging her up is also pretty snappy, as Voxan says you can get the battery to 80% of its power in less than 30 minutes thanks to a “Combo II” socket, the European quick charge standard. The range is about 111 miles, so that’s 111 miles of people thinking they just saw a Tron Lightcycle fly past them. [Purchase]
