Electric motorcycles continue to make strides on the automotive scene thanks to brands like Zero. After creating 3 popular models up to this point, the company introduces their latest iteration for the new year in the 2014 Zero SR Electric Motorcycle.
As with most electric vehicles, the new Zero SR is packed with gobs of torque. In fact it’s the first bike from the company to hit the century mark (making 106 lb-ft torque) along with 67 horsepower, a setup that’s good for a 3.3 second zero to sixty mph time. Using any standard power outlet, riders will be able to charge the bike to almost full capacity in less than 60 minutes. The Zero SR is good for about 170 miles per charge with city driving, and about 130 miles on the highway. Expect to spend around $17,000 for this beauty when it begins hitting the scene in the coming months. Watch the video below.
