Who says you have to be a full time builder to create a masterpiece? Apparently that person hasn’t met South Africa based motorcycle enthusiast Louis Nel. Working around his busy schedule, Nel built this beautiful 1979 BMW R45 custom motorcycle.
Opting for simpler design aesthetics, Nel chose to keep many of the stock components that kept the bike’s character intact, but also wasn’t afraid of adding new parts to the mix. In addition to the Motogadget Mini speedometer, SuperTrapp mufflers, and Kenda trail tires, Kel also shortened the sub frame, and fabricated that brown leather seat himself. The PIAA headlight nestled up front is the perfect complement to a vintage beauty. [Via]
