As San Diego residents ourselves, we thought it was about time to shine the spotlight on a local bike customizer. Based in Encinitas, the team at Seaweed & Gravel have been putting out some solid work, and this Honda CB550 is one of our favorites to date.
This motorcycle build was spearheaded by Brady Young (formerly a customizer at UGLY motorbikes), and sees a 1975 Honda CB550 completely updated without compromising that character we love so much in the bike. Designed with the goal of being simple, clean and minimalistic, the end result is – dare we say perfect? A brown leather seat, matte fuel tank stamped with White Honda branding, and some clean Firestones to meet the road, there’s not much more we could ask for with this thing when it comes to aesthetics. The vehicle also features an electric start courtesy of Antigravity Batteries, and has a completely rebuilt engine.
